Overview
Faithful Doubt, a podcast hosted by Jordan Helvie, explores the intersections of faith and doubt through interviews and special episodes with a variety of guests. Our team was tasked with overseeing all aspects of video production, editing, audio engineering, and remote interview management to bring Jordan’s vision to life. Our goal was to create a compelling, visually engaging video experience that would attract both listeners and viewers.
Process & Workflow
In-Person Production
Our team traveled with Jordan to conduct in-person interviews and record special episodes with guests, capturing high-quality audio and video footage to support the podcast’s professional production value. We handled the setup of each location, adjusting lighting, camera angles, and sound to create a cohesive visual style. This on-site approach enabled us to capture authentic, dynamic conversations and enhance the overall experience for viewers.
Remote Interview Production
To expand the reach of the podcast, we produced remote episodes using Riverside, a platform that allowed us to direct and record guests across the country. We managed all technical aspects of these remote sessions, ensuring that audio and video quality remained consistent and engaging. Our direction enabled Jordan to connect with guests in a seamless, professional environment, regardless of location.
Editing and Post-Production
Our post-production process emphasized creating visual interest to encourage listeners to engage with the video versions of each episode. Through thoughtful editing, we incorporated dynamic visual elements, such as multiple camera angles, close-ups, and text overlays, to highlight key moments in the conversations. We also ensured smooth audio engineering, balancing sound levels and removing background noise for a clean, polished finish. Each episode was crafted to maintain viewer engagement from start to finish.
