Overview

Peace Restored, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting women through trauma recovery, needed professional headshots for their team to convey a welcoming and approachable image. Our goal was to create warm, inviting portraits that would reflect the supportive environment Peace Restored offers to clients. We chose to shoot the headshots outside of their new office building to emphasize the natural, comfortable setting they provide.

Process & Workflow

Location Selection & Creative Direction

To align with Peace Restored’s mission of providing a safe, welcoming environment, we opted for an outdoor setting at their new office location. This choice allowed us to incorporate natural elements that softened the images, creating a relaxed and approachable atmosphere. We used the building’s surroundings as a backdrop, selecting angles and positions that would subtly highlight the comforting and community-oriented spirit of Peace Restored.

Lighting & Setup

To achieve a flattering and warm look, we focused on finding the right natural light. We chose soft, even lighting to avoid harsh shadows and create a gentle, inviting effect that complemented each team member’s expression. Our setup was minimal and unobtrusive, helping the Peace Restored team feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.

Execution

We captured each team member’s personality through a series of shots, encouraging natural expressions and candid moments to convey authenticity. This approach provided a cohesive set of headshots that aligned with Peace Restored’s welcoming ethos while maintaining a professional look.
